Crockpot Salmon And Potato Casserole

This is a great recipe because you just throw all the ingredients in the pot before you go to work in the morning and when you get home at night you have dinner all ready. How cool is that?
Ingredients -
4 Potatoes (peeled and thinly sliced)
3 Tablespoons Flour
Salt and Fresh Cracked Black Pepper
1 Can Salmon (drained and flaked)
1 Medium onion (chopped)
1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1/4 Cup Water
Nutmeg
Crisco

Preparation:

1. Grease the Crockpot with Crisco.

2. Place half of the potatoes in the Crockpot.

3. Sprinkle with half of the flour, salt and pepper.

4. Cover with half the salmon; sprinkle with half the onion.

5. Repeat layers in order.

6. Combine soup and water.

7. Pour over potato-salmon mixture.

8. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

9. Cover and cook on Low for 7 to 10 hours.

Cooking Tip
Salmon
If you have real Salmon it makes this recipe so much better so I definitely recommend making that substitution. Just substitute 1 pound of baked fresh salmon for the canned salmon. Follow the directions the same.

Baking Tip
Vegetables
If you want to add a few more vegetables to the dish you can. Carrots are a great addition as well as celery. Just add a little more soup. You can also change the soup from cream of mushroom to cream of celery and it’s just as good. Don’t be afraid to experiment.
