I love anything spicy and I especially love jalapeno peppers. Adding jalapeño’s to my favorite fish has got to be the most brilliant idea! I hope you love this recipe as much as I do.
Ingredients -
1/3 Cup Fresh Cilantro
1/8 Cup Fresh Jalapeño Peppers (chopped)
1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
2 Cloves Garlic (finely chopped)
1/2 Tablespoon Fresh Ginger (minced)
1 Cup Lime Juice
4 Salmon Steaks (6 ounces)
Preparation:
1. In a blender combine the cilantro, jalapeño, garlic, ginger, onion powder and lime.
2. Juice and blender until smooth.
3. It is better to make sauce a day or two in advance so flavors can marry.
4. Grill the salmon and top with the warm sauce.
Cooking Tip
Fresh Ginger
If you can’t find fresh ginger, which is best, you can go to your local grocery store and buy the pre sliced ginger. It changes the flavor a bit but it still really great.
Baking Tip
Jalapeno
Depending on how spicy you like your food you can add as much jalapeno’s as you like. You can also add and 1/8 of a teaspoon of chili powder of you really want to add a zing to it. Step it up a little if you know what I mean?
